All of the Crunch videos have high energy and give a good workout. Best Arms and Abs is no exception; however it doesn't have the same careful explanations as some. Teacher Faith Scarinzi certainly gives it her all in trying to motivate, but she doesn't spend enough time on style or on how to do the specific exercises properly. For example, you need two sets of weights for this workout--one set under three pounds and one set three pounds or heavier--but it's unclear in the first workout which set you're supposed to be using (the lighter ones, it turns out). Also, the camera occasionally shifts away at an awkward moment, making if difficult to see movement is being performed. Yet, these reservations aside, the workout Faith leads is certainly going to help you develop some muscles. After the brief warm-up, there are four sections alternating work on arms and abs. Obviously, the farther into the half-hour program you get, the more challenging the exercises are, but they can certainly be taken at your own pace, using a weight level with which you're comfortable. The pairing of the two body parts on this one workout is nice, but if you want some serious ab work, consider Crunch's Washboard Abs instead. --Jenny Brown
